Hello there, and welcome to the new online Connect Magazine. We're happy you're here. Before I tell you everything our new online magazine is, I want to tell you everything it is not. First, the new online Connect magazine is not our print magazine presented in a different form. It's an altogether separate resource for the planners of association and specialty organization meetings and events. We know the way you read and process print magazines versus online magazines differs, and we want to make the online Connect as easy and enjoyable to navigate as our print publication. Second, the online Connect is not new. Of course it existed before in another format, a different website with different stories and resources. We've not abandoned it completely, either. Some of what you'll find here is similar to what we had before, but it's certainly not the same. Finally, the new online Connect is not the end of our award-winning print magazine. That will still be delivered to your mailbox every other month with exclusive features and stories you won't be able to find online. I encourage you to subscribe to the print edition now if you haven't already. So, then, what is the new online Connect? On the web, there is no such thing as a Table of Contents, and much of our site planning stemmed from the question that if there is no natural starting point on the Web, where do you begin? And how do we get you where you want to go? That was our guiding principle with the design of our new online magazine, and that's why the new Connect is: 1. Resourceful. We want to give you the best tips, advice and information to help you do your jobs better, which is why we spent a lot of time developing our new, extensive How To section of our site, which has quick tips and stories on everything from career planning to contract negotiations to event technologies. 2. Topic-oriented. We want to help you find the information you want when you want it, so we've organized our new site by category. Want details on event marketing? Find it here. Technology? Here. Need to know more about cities and venues in Texas? Here. And so on. 3. Visual. With the new website, we're introducing our Insider Series, a collection of videos featuring event planners and industry experts sharing their views, opinions and experiences with you, their colleagues. Each week, we'll feature a new video, covering topics across the event planning industry. And there's more to come. Soon, we'll be introducing a new Expert Blog Network, featured photo galleries, exclusive online features and more. But we want to make sure the new online Connect is serving your needs and providing you what you need, so please contact me and let me know what we can improve on. I'm confident that we're doing something here that we've not seen in the industry before, and I'm proud to be a part of it. So settle in, take a look around, and share the news about the new Connect with your colleagues and friends. We look forward to the year ahead!
