What I do:
I own and operate a sales and marketing consultancy agency for the association and event industry. We help organizations grow their revenue through diversifying revenue streams for more holistic year-round opportunities.
How I got here:
I started off at NTP Events where I helped to sell and manage 10 events. From there, I moved to ISA where I helped to grow the organization 20% as a whole, and sponsorship revenue 1,100%. I was then recruited by a2z where I significantly helped to grow the organization threefold through various sales strategies and product idea offerings. We sold to Personify and I stayed on as head of sales for the events portfolio where I helped create record net new-growth numbers. I formed Victory to help organizations think outside the circle in regard to monetization and user engagement.
My greatest career accomplishment:
Forming my company, Victory Productions. It was formed one month before COVID-19 truly hit the States. From there, as a small organization, we have been very agile and have been helping one organization at a time become extremely successful.
A specific improvement I’ve made:
Two things: 1. Helping organizations to think differently when it comes to their monetization efforts and truly understanding who their target is now. 2. We launched our community and engagement platform, Hyvve, that helps to aggregate organizations’ content, key information, to create a true unified user journey and experience.
What I do outside of work:
Family first for me. So I spend as much time as I can with my wife and two kids. Outside of that, my main passion is golf and I have a goal of reaching the Champions Tour at age 50. On the side, I continue to write, and am currently writing the follow-up to my Amazon bestselling book, “Sales’d It! Outside the Circle.” It’s a specific sales book for the association and event industry.
Favorite vacation destination:
We have traveled the world! But the vacation my wife and I always talk about (besides Japan) is Punta Cana as it was a quick weekend getaway before our kids. It was the most relaxing and fun vacation.
‘What makes you happy?’
The packing cubes for your bag or the travel hanger where you can pack different levels and hang it.
