Renovation: The Campbell House, Lexington, KY

Long gone is the run-down, neglected hotel of the past. If you haven't been to The Campbell House in Lexington, Kentucky, in a while, the eclectic 250-room hotel recently emerged from a multi-million dollar renovation rendering it as hip as any Manhattan boutique property. The small two-story building opened in 1951 in the heart of Kentucky horse country. In the 1970s the small motor inn was turned into a glamorous hotel. It was purchased by new owners in the last few years and rehabbed to reflect its former glory. With 18,000-sq.-ft. of flexible function space it is the perfect spot for corporate gatherings and events. Lexington's picturesque downtown area and Keeneland's Thoroughbred horse racing track are right down the road and inform the hotel's hipper decor. Take a peek...
