What I do:
Leveraging event technology, client and speaker relationships, I ensure that the attendee learning experience at our events is seamless from pre-event session catalog to post-event content consumption. I keep our clients and content owners organized and work to maintain their event goals and content strategy from beginning to end.
How I got here:
I started my career in event registration after college and followed that path for several years. I took a quick jump out of the industry to hone in on my project management skills in a different field. There I quickly learned my heart was in the fast-paced event world. The content and speaker management role with Dynamic Events found me and couldn’t have been a better match.
Greatest career accomplishment:
I am proud of executing content and speaker management for one of the largest global tech conferences for the last three years. That’s followed by taking this conference on the road to 17 cities globally.
In 2018, my team and I managed more than 1,400 hours of content, 1,700 different learning opportunities and more than 1,600 speakers for our client’s largest tech conference.
Specific improvement I’ve made:
I’ve helped develop a larger content and speaker management team well versed in content and speaker management technology. We’ve created fun, new, self-paced speaker training opportunities and best practices in speaker management and attendee content consumption.
What I am working on now:
Our team is in the middle of a 17-city roadshow—seven cities were complete between December and January alone. Going into 2020, the list of cities will double! I’m working hard to help our clients determine how to best streamline tools we are using that will simplify how we are managing content and speakers nonstop around the globe.
What I do outside of work:
Most mornings I love to start my day a good workout to counteract the demands of the workday. I love to cook, and host friends and family. Living close to the Oregon Coast I always love the short road trip to chase sunset at the beach.
