What I do: My position requires a key focus on business development and product creation to represent and expand the Topgolf brand. My role requires me to work closely with all departments at Topgolf—media, partnerships, memberships, operations, etc.—as well as each of our more than 50 venues nationwide to ensure that our events and products are seamlessly executed to create moments that matter for all our clients.
How I got here: I started my career at the Dallas Cowboys organization in ticket sales, then transitioned to Dave & Buster’s and quickly climbed the ladder to a regional sales manager. From there I made the jump to Topgolf as the director of sales at Topgolf Dallas. I then went back to the Cowboys for an incredible opportunity to launch their private events and tour program at The Star—Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters and Training Facility. After opening their new facility, I came back home to Topgolf to create and launch a national events Program. I’ve also founded an Inside Sales Team and will soon be launching a new National Tour & Travel program.
Impressive stats: Topgolf had just over 30 venues when I came back to develop the national events program, with a maximum of two or three venues being booked annually per planner. Now, we’re securing events of a 30-plus location series across the country and consistently doubling our business year-over-year because we’ve made everything turnkey for event planners to activate these nationwide programs!
Specific improvement I’ve made: The creation and development of the National Events Team, Inside Sales, and Tour & Travel products were each revolutionary to the events business at Topgolf in their own rights. The thread that ties them together is the ability to help find & funnel new business from a corporate level to the individual venues nationwide.
