We’re going to be completely honest here: If you think Snapchat
is a social media platform used by teenagers as an outlet for (ahem) sexting, you’re about five years off your game. Launched in 2011, Snapchat got a bad rap for its aforementioned usage, but it’s transitioned into a valuable and incomparable social outlet that reputable businesses have added to their social media marketing strategies.
Think about how Instagram has changed throughout its lifetime and its potential for meetings: Planners share gorgeous F&B and room setups, sensational receptions and entertainment, and must-book spaces during site visits. The same applies to Snapchat but, more so than any other platform, it adds humanity and excitement to your brand.
As we gear up for Connect Marketplace
in August, we’re demonstrating firsthand how you can use Snapchat from an events/magazine standpoint. We’ll explore industry news and trends; give behind-the-scenes looks at our upcoming magazines and content; share backstage moments during our show; and unveil venues and cities in our travels.
If you’ve never used Snapchat, we encourage you to download the app
and stick with it through its learning curve. Once you get the hang of it, we promise you’ll be as into it as we are.
To add us, open the app and search for our username, connectmeetings
