The list features 100 people whose creativity, vision and capacity for innovation have had the greatest influence on the event industry. Eventex says 476 event industry professionals were nominated by the public and more than 4,200 people voted. The nominees who received the most votes were included in the prestigious top 100 list. “A heartfelt congratulations to our uber-talented editorial director,” said Stephanie Davis Smith, Connect’s vice president of content creation. “I am not surprised at all and it's a well-deserved honor for Matt.” Swenson has served as the editorial director at Connect for two years and worked for the company for more than five years. A communications professional, Swenson has extensive experience in leading print publications from start to finish, managing social media campaigns with the purpose of increasing digital engagement, directing four business-to-business websites and producing multiple weekly newsletters covering industry news.
