What I do: I’m responsible for organizing around 20 conferences per year in the United States and internationally. I have enjoyed coordinating citywide conventions of 13,000 for eight days and small board meetings for four days.
How I got here: The hospitality industry was not my initial pursuit. A friend/meeting planner executive needed an assistant due to so much traveling and he had small children at home. I was single—so I was a definite prospect.
Greatest career accomplishment: I have enjoyed coordinating citywide conventions of 13,000 for eight days and small board meetings for four days.
What I do outside of work: I played competitive basketball until I was 65 and am hopefully not done yet. I have been on the Connect Faith Advisory Board. I also am a pastor at a small congregation.
