What I Do: As the director of women’s lacrosse and field hockey at Corrigan Sports, I oversee execution of five Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association official recruiting series tournaments, two National Field Hockey Coaches Association Top Recruit tournaments and the Under Armour All America Lacrosse Tryouts and Tournament. I manage key relationships with IWLCA and NFHCA executive directors, board members and committees, as well as oversee tournament operations.
Why I am a Game Changer: The IWLCA Official Recruiting Tournament Series started with two tournaments. It quickly grew to three to four and then six. Developing and growing these tournaments over the last five-plus years has been really exciting, as the sport of lacrosse continues to grow rapidly. We were able to accept more than 300 teams in the IWLCA Brine Presidents Cup, Presented by New Balance last November—the most teams ever for that event. We also had a record number of college coaches in attendance making it the most successful tournament to date!
What I am Working on Now: We’re hosting tryouts in 12 regions, up from 11 last year, for the Under Armour All America Underclass Tournament. We’re also implementing a format change for the IWLCA STX Capital Cup, which is now a championship format event—a first for an IWLCA Official Recruiting Series tournament.
What I Do Outside of Work: You can find me on a sideline of one of my children’s practices or games. They play soccer, lacrosse, basketball and baseball. I coach my daughter’s lacrosse team and am a part of the recreation council board for girl’s lacrosse.
