Fante will work with Holly Anderson, Connect’s executive director of sports, focusing primarily on planner relations and expansion of the Connect Sports brand.
Fante comes to Connect Sports from Sports ETA, the sports tourism association where she was member services coordinator for two years. She was responsible for membership recruitment and retention and event registration. A longtime Packers fan, Fante is drawn to sports tourism because it blends her passion for travel and athletics.
“We’re excited to have Madison join us,” says Anderson. “Her background at Sports ETA will allow her to seamlessly transition to the role at Connect Sports, and ensure we attract the best sports planners and organizers to our events.”
Fante says Anderson’s status as a key women leader in the sports industry (and the first female to lead Connect Sports) attracted her to the position. “I am looking forward to joining her team and continuing the growth of Connect Sports,” she says. “This is an exciting new chapter for me.”
In addition to Connect Sports 2020 in New Orleans, the company’s portfolio of events includes the Diversity Sports Summit; Sports Leadership Summit, Women in Sports Tourism Summit and Indoor Sports Summit.
