Up for Bid: NCAA Championships (Multiple Events)

The NCAA is seeking bids ASAP for Division III track and cross-country events, Division II cross-country and Division I hockey.

Up for Bid: NCAA Championships (3 Sports)

The NCAA needs more bids for multiple upcoming championships, with proposals to be sent to Russ Yurk as soon as possible. Here are the details:

Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship, 2023-2026

Dates: May 25-27, 2023 May 23-25, 2024 May 22-24, 2025 May 21-23, 2026

Estimated number of participants: For each men’s individual event contested, including the decathlon, the top 20 declared student-athletes will be accepted into the competition. For each woman’s individual event contested, including the heptathlon, the top 22 declared student-athletes will be accepted into the competition. For each relay event contested, the top 16 declared relay teams will be accepted into the competition. 

Venue Requirements: Able to sit up to 4,000 spectators; Tracks, runways or take-off areas should consist of a high quality synthetic track material surface; Track must be 400 meters in length, not enclosed within a covered structure and have no less than 8 lanes

Hotel Requirements: Must be in close proximity (ideally within walking distance) from the event venue

Division III Cross Country Regionals, 2022-2025

These events are held seven days before the national championship in November.

Dates: Nov. 12, 2022; Nov. 11, 2023; Nov. 16, 2024; Nov. 15, 2025

Estimated number of participants: 560 (280 per gender). 

Venue Requirements: Course Distance: Men – 8,000 meters; Women – 6,000 meters; 10-meters wide; first turn should be at a minimum of 400 meters (600 meters or more preferred).

Hotel Requirements: Must be in close proximity (ideally within walking distance) from the event venue

Division II Cross Country Regionals, 2022-2025

These events are held two weeks before the national championship in November.

Dates: Nov. 19, 2022; Nov. 4, 2023; Nov. 9, 2024; Nov. 8, 2025

Location Preferences:

Atlantic: North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia (specifically targeting 2022 and 2024)

Central: Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota

Estimated number of participants: 262

Venue Requirements: Course Distance: Men – 10,000 meters; Women – 6,000 meters; 10-meters wide; first turn should be at a minimum of 400 meters (600 meters or more preferred).

Hotel Requirements: Must be in close proximity (ideally within walking distance) from the event venue

Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Regionals, 2021-2022

Held two weekend prior to the Frozen Four.

Dates: March 25-26, 2022

Estimated number of participants: 120+ athletes; 5,000 spectators 

Venue Requirements: At least 5,000 seats, four separate locker rooms for teams and an additional one for officials; press box seating 75, media interview room seating 75

Hotel Requirements: Must be in close proximity (ideally within walking distance) from the event venue;
