Milwaukee, WisconsinMilwaukee’s reputation as an attractive, affordable sports-friendly city continues to grow. Host of events ranging from basketball to Ultimate Frisbee, the city welcomes thousands of athletes each year. Milwaukee’s winning lineup of first-class facilities features the downtown convention center complex, including the Wisconsin Center, host to fencing, table tennis, volleyball and gymnastics events, and the newly renovated UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena, home of Milwaukee Admirals hockey, figure skating and other events. Skywalks to the Hilton Milwaukee City Center, Hyatt Regency Milwaukee and SpringHill Suites link some 1,360 rooms to the Wisconsin Center.

Professional sports venues include Miller Park, home of the Milwaukee Brewers, and BMO Harris Bradley Center, home base for the Milwaukee Bucks and Marquette University basketball. Scheduled for completion in 2018 and just blocks from the Wisconsin Center and major hotels, the $500 million Wisconsin Sports & Entertainment Center will be new home to the Milwaukee Bucks.

Wisconsin Center

Wisconsin CenterThe city’s downtown convention center complex, consisting of the Wisconsin Center, UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena and Milwaukee Theatre, is sought after by both professional and amateur sports competitions. With 189,000 square feet of space and a 37,506-sq.-ft. ballroom, the Wisconsin Center is ideally suited for a wide range of configurations for sporting events. The center has played host to USA Fencing, US Table Tennis, USA Volleyball and numerous gymnastics events. Skywalks to the Hilton Milwaukee City Center and Hyatt Regency Milwaukee link some 1,200 rooms to the Wisconsin Center. The center connects events to shopping, dining, nightlife, festivals and attractions in downtown Milwaukee.

Uihlein Soccer Park

Uihlein Soccer ParkUihlein Soccer Park is Milwaukee’s premier indoor/outdoor soccer complex. The park’s many features include 13 outdoor soccer fields (including two lighted stadium fields), three indoor fields (climate-controlled) surfaced in AstroPlay turf, full food and beverage facilities, locker rooms, Froedtert & Medical College trainer facility and more. Uihlein has played host to events like USA Ultimate Division 333 College Championship and State Wars Soccer, but the fields are not limited to soccer alone. Uihlein Field has been host to many other tournaments and events, including Ultimate Frisbee, lacrosse, football (indoor), field hockey, hurling and an archery range for the wheelchair Olympics.
