Screen Shot 2016-03-10 at 4.48.47 PMMany things make Charlotte, North Carolina, the ultimate sports destination. From great facilities, hotels, restaurants and attractions to a culture and passion for sports and outdoor recreation, Charlotte’s got a lot to offer athletes and their families. Charlotte has the excitement of a large city with the Southern hospitality and welcoming attitude of a small town; it’s what makes the city a leading sports and leisure destination. The ACC Football Championship, CIAA Basketball Tournament, NCAA Basketball Tournament, Thunder Road Marathon and Modern Pentathlon World Cup have all called Charlotte home. In addition, Charlotte has hosted cheerleading, volleyball, baseball and softball tournaments, as well as the Disc Golf World Championships. For event planners who think big, Charlotte is a host city that creates legendary experiences both on and off the field or court. Family-friendly attractions like Discovery Place, NASCAR Hall of Fame and U.S. National Whitewater Center are entertaining for all ages, including moms and dads. Athletes and their families always have a ball in Charlotte and leave with memories that last a lifetime.

"Palmetto Volleyball Association uses Charlotte as the host city for its Regional Championships. We have found Charlotte to be ideal for our event. Our families that attend love the area since many activities and restaurants are within walking distance, hotels are affordable and the convention center works perfectly for hosting our tournament. Working with a number of cities with various events, we have found Visit Charlotte to be extremely helpful in assisting our organization.
