Located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, Snohomish County is 25 miles north of downtown Seattle and about 40 miles north of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Snohomish County is a recreational mecca and its temperate climate encourages year-round outdoor fun. Snohomish County offers the perfect backdrop for your sports events.

Snohomish County is rich in sports traditions for year-round sports events. Venues range from snow, ice and lakes to rivers, playfields and sports courts. The following teams call Snohomish County home: Everett AquaSox Baseball, Seattle Mariners’ A-affiliated team; Everett Silvertips Hockey, Western Hockey League team; Everett Merchants Baseball, Pacific Coast League team; Everett and Edmonds, Northwest Athletic Conference Collegiate schools; and Trinity Lutheran College. 

The Evergreen State Fairgrounds are home to Evergreen Speedway, dubbed the Super Speedway of the West by David Pearson.

Xfinity Arena at Everett

Screen Shot 2016-03-11 at 5.24.40 PMXfinity Arena at Everett was the recipient of the International Association of Venue Managers’ prestigious Venue Excellence Award in 2010 and was developed by the Everett Public Facilities District. Washington’s premier sports and entertainment venue features a main arena with 8,400 fixed seats. The facility is home to the Everett Silvertips, a Western Hockey League franchise, and hosts events such as basketball, volleyball, international skating and gymnastics competitions. The adjoining Xfinity Community Ice Rink is used for skating and hockey leagues. The two ice sheets can be converted to form a 57,000-sq.-ft. meeting room and an 11,000-sq.-ft. ballroom. Spectra—a division of Comcast Spectacor, one of the world’s largest sports and entertainment companies—manages these facilities.

Skykomish River Park

Screen Shot 2016-03-11 at 5.26.53 PMLocated in Monroe, Skykomish River Park is a premier baseball and softball complex in Snohomish County. The park has eight fields of various sizes including four softball and baseball fields and three grass soccer fields, as well as concessions, a picnic area, a playground, restrooms, an off-leash dog park and trails. In addition, Miracle Field is a sports turf within walking distance of the other athletic fields. The sports complex can host baseball, softball, soccer, Ultimate Frisbee, lacrosse, grass volleyball, dog shows and concerts. Bleacher seating can hold up to 700 people, and 150 parking spaces are available.
