Derrick A. Eells
, Lincoln, Neb.
How I got here:
“My goal was to find a position that would allow me to pursue my passion for travel. I found that in Maritz and spent a year as a travel director, but left to start my own business. I moved back home to Nebraska and launched TenDot 10 years ago with my brother.”
TenDot, a full-service meeting management and incentive house, was honored on The 2015 Inc. 5000 list as one of the fastest-growing private companies in the nation with a growth rate of 263 percent. Eells has increased the company’s profitability by a minimum of 49 percent per annum over the last three years, all while on the road more than 250 days per year.
“In honor of TenDot’s 10th anniversary in 2015, we launched OneTraveler a nonprofit that helps create better leaders through a six-week journey abroad each summer.”
