What I do:
As the marketing and events strategist for TD Ameritrade. I am in charge of all external events, and tradeshows for companies within the portfolio. I also sprinkle in a few internal events to create an atmosphere of fun in the workplace such as a day full of surprises including an ice cream truck or a theme day revolving around the solar eclipse.
How I got here:
I started my career with the Global Down Syndrome Foundation doing multimillion-dollar fashion shows with Saks Fifth Avenue. At the same time, I was working toward my Bachelor’s Degree in Event Management at Johnson & Wales University—Denver. After graduation, I worked for CenturyLink Center of Omaha, which encompasses a convention center, arena and baseball park. I am now using my extensive meeting planning experience at CQuence Health Group planning education events and tradeshows for healthcare executives and professionals. I obtained my CMP certification
in August 2017.
Greatest career accomplishment:
Asa volunteer for the Omaha Jaycees, I created, implemented and planned the Omaha Beer and Bacon Festival of 2013, 2014 and 2015, netting a donation of more than $30,000 for the Ronald McDonald Charities of Omaha and hosting a crowd of more than 1,200 beer and bacon lovers at each festival.
At my previous position at CQuence Health Group, I increased attendance in 2017 by 127 percent for educational seminars and webinars and decreased the spending by more than $10,000 .
Specific improvement I’ve made:
I implemented, launched and designed a mobile app for the live educational seminars that are conducted throughout the year for CQuence Health’s Partner company, Cassling. I have increased attendance at these events by advance planning and preparation, which allowed for earlier notifications and promotion.
What I’m working on now:
In 2018, I am launching an on-demand webinar portal for individuals in the radiology field to earn continuing education credits at any time of the day. The on-demand system will allow participants to achieve credits toward licensure at a time convenient for them.
What I do outside of work:
I am past president of the Omaha Jaycees, a young professional organization serving the community and current member of the Omaha Junior League; and an avid tennis player.
